(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: Corona in Kanpur is growing rapidly. The number of infected patients crossed the 100 for the second consecutive day in the district. According to the health department late on Saturday, 7 corona infected died in Kanpur on Friday during treatment. These include the teenager, including the young woman. At the same time, on Saturday, 104 Corona positives have come in the district in a day. However, 39 patients were discharged on recovery.
2321 have been found infected in the district, out of which 1277 have become healthy and 118 patients have died. Now active cases are 926. Officials of the health department along with the district administration have become concerned about the infected patients crossing the 100 marks for 2 consecutive days. The Health Department is also appealing to the public through publicity not to leave home unnecessarily and follow the rules.
The Chuniganj branch of the infected Bank of Baroda was closed two days before a bank employee turned out to be positive. The investigation found six employees positive. Two employees of Vinoba Nagar branch of the bank have also come positive. The bank has been closed for a week. According to the bank’s DGM BR Dhiman, now these branches will be opened as per rules.
