(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) The Revenue minister R.Ashoka was moved into isolation. The virus spreads when one of the doctors at Victoria Hospitals was present with the minister during the COVID-19 test of the minister which result in +Ve.
It is not the first time where the front line workers are affected by the virus. 11 nurses among 5 postgraduate doctors were also testing +Ve.
The news was confirmed by Dr. Jayanti who informed that including her other doctors was under home quarantine and none have shown any symptoms.
Ashoka attendants have informed that the minister will be out of the city till 3rd July. Sources said that he might be in isolation at Chikmagalur. All his assistants and workers are being isolated.
The C.M political secretary has informed that he has done the swab test and will remain at home until the result comes out. The result might come by Wednesday.
Minister R. Ashoka has come into secondary contact with the C.M B.S Yediyurappa including Cabinet colleagues, M.L.A, and M.P’s. Till the result comes out C.M will not hold any meeting, he is following the Precautions.
Earlier the Deputy Chief Minister C.N Aswath Narayan, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Medical Education Minister K. Sudhar, and Tourism minister C.T Ravi and Ashoka is the fifth minister under home Quarantine.
