Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Saudi Arabia on Thursday approved a flight to India under the Vanda India Mission. In fact, they banned flights to and from Saudi on Tuesday due to increasing cases of corona infection in India. In a tweet, Air India Express clarified that it would not take passengers from India to Saudi Arabia, although it would take passengers stranded in Saudi Arabia to India.
The Saudi Aviation Department of Saudi Arabia issued a circular on Tuesday stating that it
suspends all incoming flights to India, Brazil, and Argentina. He said that airlines and chartered flights from countries with a high incidence of Covid-19 will not be allowed to fly from Saudi Arabia, although government officials have been exempted. It is noteworthy that a large number of Indian workers work in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
