Twinkle Saloni( Intern Journalist):- Jharkhand government on Tuesday slashed the COVID 19 test price. The government announced private labs will be charged ₹ 1500 for the PCR test for COVID-19. Earlier, private labs were charging rupees 2,400 which was very high for the poor to afford during the current crisis. As the prices of the test are cheaper more people are expected to come forward for the test.
The decision was made by an overview of the decrease in the price of the kit required for completing the test, government officials said.
The government also warned with the declaration of a decrease in the price. Further, adding to their statement that strict actions will be taken against the private labs for the violation. As per the order or guidelines issued by the government of Jharkhand.
