Chief Medical and Health Officer, Udaipur – Dr. Dinesh Kharadi, informed that those people who have given their samples for COVID testing will now be informed on results through SMS to their registered mobile numbers.
District Collector Chetan Deora instructed the Technical Director of NIC, Udaipur, Mazhar Khan, and CMHO Dr. Dinesh Kharadi to develop a system of delivering the test reports through SMS on registered mobile numbers.
This step was taken because there are numerous complaints of test reports not being made available on time were received by the district administration. The daily reports of samples range between 700-900 and it was getting cumbersome for people to collect their test reports.
For patients who have tested positive, the normal process will be followed and the health department will take immediate action. SMS reports will follow through. This is being done to ensure that a positive report on SMS before personal connect does not trigger panic in the patient or the family.
The first set of 623 reports was sent by SMS today. This process will continue for the coming days as well.
