Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) On Tuesday, Patna divisional Commissioner Sanjay Kumar organized a meeting to check the preparations for the district-level Independence Day celebration to be held at Gandhi Maidan on August 15.
He said the celebration this time would be limited to the unfurling of National flag by the chief minister and March past and special honor of Corona warriors who risked their lives to fight against the pandemic. He said “The front line fighters of Covid-19 such as health workers, chemists, municipality workers, police and plasma donors among others to be invited to the function. Their seating arrangement will be made in a special gallery.”
Altogether 17 teams, including those of CRPF, Central Industrial Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, National Disaster Response Force, National Cadet Corps, Bihar Military police, and Bihar police will participate in the parade.
Gandhi Maidan will be sanitized, after the final parade rehearsal on August 13. On the celebration day, attendees will have to wear a mask and maintain social distance. However, Patna district education Officers Jyoti Kumar has allowed Independence day celebrations at educational institutions.
