(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Faridabad: Police have arrested two including the main accused in the Nikita murder case. The police have presented them in court on Tuesday and taken them on two days remand. On the other hand, there was a whole day of commotion in the city over this incident. The deceased’s family members blocked the road at three different places, including the National Highway, to demand the execution of the accused and refused to take the body until the demand was met.
After the assassination of the administration to get strict punishment to the accused, the relatives opened a jam on the highway late in the evening and the body was cremated thereafter. Meanwhile, SIT has been constituted to investigate the matter. The main accused were identified as Tausif resident Sohna, district Gurugram and another accused Rehan resident Rewasan district Nuh. Police Commissioner O.P. Singh said that the SIT team has also been formed in this matter. This team, formed under the leadership of Crime ACP Anil Kumar, will investigate the entire matter. On the demand of family members, the investigation of this entire case has been handed over to the Crime Branch. Police are with the victim’s family. Police and much other secret evidence against the accused are with the police. On their basis, the accused will be punished severely and punish them in court.
It is noteworthy that Nikita Tomar, a BCom final year student was shot dead in the Ballabhgarh police station area on Monday evening when she was returning to her home with her friend after taking an examination from Aggarwal College.
Meanwhile, the youth who came riding in the car just near the college tried to forcibly pull Nikita into the car. Was shot on failing. Accused of murder for not converting The father of the deceased has alleged in a statement to the media that the accused belong to a particular community. For a long time, there was pressure on his daughter to convert to marry. When his daughter refused to convert, the accused shot her and killed her. In the case registered with the police, the reason for the murder has been stated to be a crime. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. The father of the deceased said that the police administration has assured to add the religious conversion to the FIR.
Minister Moolchand Sharma and ADC Satbir Mann reached the spot. Smart City struggled with the jam since Tuesday morning. The protesters continued to demand strict punishment including hanging. There was an uproar on the roads including Sohna Road, BK Chowk, and National Highway. The traffic system remained variable throughout the day. Angry relatives refused to take the dead body. The dead body could not be cremated even after 24 hours. Minister Moolchand Sharma also reached the spot. Upon persuasion by the police and administrative officials, the family agreed to take the body.
Due to this, Nikita’s body was sent for the funeral after postmortem in the presence of a heavy police force at 6 pm.
