(Pooja Pal; Intern Journalist): New Delhi: A woman constable posted in CRPF in Delhi received a call from WhatsApp on WhatsApp. The caller asked for information about the CRPF camp and other important things. Instead of this, he proposed to give a mouth-watering price.
Understanding the seriousness of the matter, when the woman constable disconnected the phone, the caller also made a video call to her on WhatsApp. The woman constable, however, did not pick up the phone and reported the matter to senior officials. The Special Cell of Delhi Police is currently investigating the case.
A senior official said that the woman constable who received the phone call from Pakistani number is posted in Vikaspuri. The caller gave the CRPF personnel important information. He called the woman constable by her name and told her many things about her, including her home address and posting, saying that he knew her well. The caller asked her to provide information about the CRPF camp and the ongoing operation.
Special cell’s sources stated that the lady constable took this phone number from Baghpat. A team was sent there to interrogate the shopkeeper. Sources reveal that this is an indication of a massive conspiracy. This lady constable does not have any social media account. She recently bought this mobile number. The conclusion derived from this call was that Karachi has a lot of information regarding the lady constable and the base camp.
In January 2020, 13 people were arrested for spying for Pakistan. Surprisingly, 11 naval and 2 civilians were among these accused. All the accused leaked sensitive information related to the Navy through social media to Pakistani intelligence agents. Pak agents had trapped them all in Honey Trap. Seven naval men were arrested in a joint operation by Andhra Pradesh Police, Naval Intelligence Unit and Central Intelligence Agencies first in this espionage case.
