(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) A very shocking case has come to light in Rajasthan, the DSP delivering a speech on International Anti-Corruption Day was caught taking bribes after just an hour. In fact, the International Corruption Day was held at the ACB office in Sawai Madhopur on Wednesday. DSP Meena was present as the keynote speaker. There he gave a speech, ‘We have to free India from corruption with all honesty. Any central and state government employee can call or WhatsApp at any time on toll-free 1064 or helpline number 9413502834 if asked for a bribe.
Interestingly caught taking a bribe of 80 thousand rupees, DSP Meena was caught taking a bribe of 80 thousand rupees after one hour of this speech. The District Transport Officer (DTO) bribing them was also arrested. This is the first time that the RPS level officer posted in an ACB has been trapped by the ACB himself.
ACB DG BL Joshi told that the complaint was being received for two months that DSP Bhairulal Meena, residing in Akashwani Colony, Kota, is in charge of SB Chowki in Sawai Madhopur. There were complaints against him for taking bribes for several days. So the team was constantly watching Meena. On Wednesday, when the ACB team arrived from Jaipur, DTO Mahesh Chand Meena living in Dalpura in Karauli was giving them 80 thousand rupees of monthly recovery. On raiding DSP Meena’s house, the team has received land papers and cash of Rs 1.61 lakh. Now the ACB team is searching for their other locations.
