Coronavirus has also affected the Indian Army. There have been many cases related to this in the army as well. A similar case also came up in Delhi, in which the jawan was admitted to the army base hospital. The jawan, who was found to be Corona positive, committed suicide on Tuesday. Delhi Police and Army have confirmed this incident.
According to a report, this 31-year-old army soldier was posted as a signalman in Alwar, Rajasthan. Jawan was suffering from Lung cancer, he was undergoing treatment at Army Research and Referral Hospital at Dhaula Kuan in Delhi.
During treatment, the jawan was found to be COVID-19 positive and was then admitted to Army base hospital in Naraina, Delhi on 5 May. According to the information, the body of the jawan was found hanging from a tree outside the hospital at 4 am on Tuesday.
DCP (West) Deepak Purohit said that the other patients present in the hospital last saw the jawan at 1 am when he went towards the restroom. After this, the dead body of the soldier was found at 4 am.
The army will help the family
According to the police, the jawan has not left any suicide note but it is being feared that due to his illness, he took a step like suicide. The deceased soldier was from Maharashtra but lived in Alwar with his family. The army confirmed the incident and said that the family has been informed about the incident.
The army spokesman said that every possible help would be provided to the family. Along with this, an investigation has also been initiated by the Army in this matter. At present, the army is waiting for the family of the deceased jawan. The autopsy of the jawan will be done only after they arrive.
