(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); The Special Cell of Delhi Police has succeeded in arresting the accused and one lakh of notorious gangster Jyoti Prakash alias Baba in MCOCA. The police arrested the most wanted criminal of Delhi-Haryana from Surat in Gujarat. He was planning to kill his rival gangster Manjeet Mahal.
Gangster Jyoti, a resident of Najafgarh, has about a dozen cases of murder and robbery in Delhi and Haryana. Police recovered a US Army-made automatic pistol from its base in Delhi. DCP Manish Chandra said that 31-year-old gangster Jyoti alias Baba had received parole from a Haryana court in August last year, but had escaped. He lived there for six months. After that, he returned to India, and here he moved to Surat.
The DCP said that in the meantime he constantly changed his hideouts in Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Surat to avoid the police. During this time he was planning to kill his rival gangster Manjeet Mahal.
