(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Taking care of the standard of reporting, the High Court has sought answers from two TV news channels on the issue of reporting the incident. A bench of Justice Rajiv Shakdhar has issued notice to Facebook, Google, and Twitter besides Republic TV Chief Editor Arnab Goswami, Reporter Pradeep Bhandari, Times Now Chief Editor Rahul Shivshankar, and Group Editor Navika Kumar.
It asked both channels to tell themselves what further efforts can be made to maintain and improve the quality of reporting standards. The bench also directed both of them to give their opinion on this. The bench asked both channels to take care of the legal norms established during news reporting and not to make objectionable remarks against anyone. The bench also said that such comments should not be made on any platform like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. The next hearing in the case will be held on 14 December.
