(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Despite corona’s disruptions, mango exports from the state reached 324 tons this year. The figure is less than half of the previous year but export promotion agencies are satisfied with this figure. Except for last year, in the last few years before that, mango could be exported from the state at or near this year. However, experts have found a new, relatively safer, and cheaper way and route in this year’s mango exports. Till now mangoes have been exported from the state by air, which was more expensive and also had more intricacies. Exporters made new experiments this time due to the blocking of the international air route due to corona. Mangoes were sent by water route to Europe and Gulf countries, which was very cheap and it was very easy to send more quantity simultaneously.
