(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Dehradun: A lower court in Uttarakhand has directed the local police to arrest a minister for blocking a road and causing inconvenience to the public. To this end, the Rudrapur District Court on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant against Minister Arvind Pandey. According to details, the then opposition BJP in Uttarakhand blocked the national highway to protest against the ruling party. Local police have registered a case against four MLAs and several other local leaders. A Rudrapur district court judge, who recently heard the cases, convicted all of them.
They were ordered to be arrested immediately for allegedly disrupting the public system. Among them are current minister Arvind Pandey and ruling party MLAs Harbhajan Singh, Rajkumar, Adesh Chauhan, and former MP Balraj Pasi. Local SP Rajesh Bhat, who received the court orders, said the court had directed the setting up of a special team to arrest the accused. It was revealed that all of them should be arrested and produced before the court by October 23. He said court orders must be enforced.
