(Harleen Kaur, Intern Journalist) Deoria: Due to rain, difficulties have increased in many mohallas. As water has accumulated on the roads, water has entered the homes of the people. There is resentment among the people of the waterlogged neighborhood. The condition of the city has become miserable due to intermittent rains for the last three months. Water is visible in all the mohallas. The weather took a turn in the afternoon on Tuesday as it started raining. Due to this, people got relief from the heat, but due to waterlogging, people had to face trouble.

Most trouble in these neighborhoods
Roads were piled up in the city’s Raghavanagar, Umanagar, Deoria Khas, Saketnagar East, Ramnath Deoria, Gayatripuram, Nathanagar, Munsaf Colony, Chakiwan. Behind BRDPG College, Ali Nagar, Shaheed Nagar, Swastik Nagar, Sahu Tola, Somnath Nagar ward number five’s Piedra, Shanti Nagar Mahuabari, Aryanagar Chhoti Babhni, etc. created difficulties due to water filling.

No proper arrangement for drainage
People say that there is no proper arrangement for drainage in the municipal area. Half of the city’s water is stored in the Chutni Gadhi locality via CC Road. There is no way to reach the Kurna drain ahead of him. Due to which the problem of waterlogging has increased. There is no drainage system from Danopur and Ramgoolam Tola.

Water up to the knee in the collectorate premises
Due to rain in the Collectorate campus, the knee was flooded. The condition of waterlogging remains. Employees say the Collectorate campus is well below Fourlane. Due to this, rainwater accumulates. The public works department, BSA office, district hospital, Superintendent of Police office, etc. have been flooded.
