(Satya Havilah, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given good news to Uttar Pradesh government employees. Diwali bonuses have been announced for 14.82 lakh government employees across the state, including all departments and departments. The UP government has said that the bonus will place an additional burden of Rs 1,023 crore on the state exchequer. About 75 percent of the Diwali bonus will be credited to the Employees Provident Fund Account (EPFO). Yogi Sarkar clarified that the remaining 25% will be credited directly to the employee’s account (Salary account) in cash.
The Uttar Pradesh government has said that for those who do not have a provident fund account, the amount will be saved in National Savings Certificates. The state government spokesperson said the bankruptcy bonus would also apply to non-gazetted employees, a staff of aided educational institutions, local bodies, district panchayats as well as daily wage earners.
UP government employees are happy that their state government is announcing Diwali bonuses at a time when many state governments are looking to pay salaries to employees due to declining revenue in many government departments in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
