(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist) Patna: The situation in Patna is getting worse day by day due to corona infection. As such, five private hospitals in the city did not construct Covid-19 isolation wards. Taking this matter seriously, DM Kumar Ravi on Friday warned the hospital operators that why not take legal action against you.
DM has sent a notice to the hospital managers seeking a reply within 24 hours. The District Magistrate had a meeting with the managers of the private hospital on July 17 and directed them to construct isolation wards and secure beds. On July 23, in a review meeting of private hospitals, it was found that no arrangements have been made by these hospitals for the treatment of Covid-19 infected and there is no interest in this regard.
Taking this irresponsible act of private hospitals seriously, the District Magistrate has summoned the reply within 24 hours after clarifying with the manager of 5 private hospitals. He has asked why legal action should not be initiated for his negligence under the Bihar Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulation, 2020.
Notice sent to:
Hitech Emergency, Rajeshwar Hospital, Jagdish Memorial Hospital, Sahyog Hospital and Midversal Hospital Patna.
