(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): In the midst of the Corona epidemic, the aviation ministry has decided to extend the ban on domestic flights with a 60 per cent capacity to 24 February 2021. Earlier this order was implemented till 24 November. Now it has been extended by three months. A senior official of the ministry said that at present the order will remain in force till February 24. If the situation improves then this order can also be revised. After the lockdown, the domestic air service was launched on May 25 across the country. In the last five months, the air traveler has increased significantly.
On May 25, around 30 thousand people were traveling by air across the country. Around 2 lakh people are traveling by air on 2 November. Recently, the aviation ministry said that we are considering increasing the capacity to 60 percent to 75 percent. However, the latest order is in force till 24 February.
