(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): In the midst of the Corona crisis, in October, all the indicators are telling that reformment in Economy has started. State Bank of India (SBI) chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara said that the economy will come back on track in the next financial year i.e. 2021-22.
The economy will change
Dinesh Kumar said that the economy is going to change a lot after Corona and it will be more mature now. Speaking at the virtual event of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said that from April 2021, the economy will bounce back. Together, he also said that a lot will change and he will be permanent.
Investment and demand will take time to boom
Regarding investment and demand, he said that it will take some time to accelerate. The average capacity utilization of corporate is currently 69%. Also, investment for corporate will take some time. Together, he also said that the corporate has become more cautious about raising debt.
The steel and cement sector performed well
He said that the performance of steel and cement in the core sector has been excellent. Since April 2020, this sector has been witnessing a lot of growth. The worst effect of Corona has been on the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
