(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist) Patna: Sad news came from Patna Zoo on Friday. Srishti, a female giraffe from California, US, died in the zoo. This information was given by Amit Kumar, director of Patna Zoo. He told that Srishti was showing less interest in eating food for 15 days and also looked a little sluggish.

A team was formed to treat her, including a doctor from Veterinary College, who would visit for daily check-ups. Doctors were being consulted through phones in the zoos where the number of giraffes is good like Mysore, Alipur, and Hyderabad. Srishti was separated during her treatment. But despite all efforts, Srishti died on late Thursday evening. The number of junior giraffes is five, of which four are female and one is male.
