Five policemen including SP suspended in Hathras case

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Hathras : The Yogi government, which came into action in the Hathras incident, on Friday evening suspended the Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent, Inspector and two other policemen with immediate effect. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave this order after the SIT report came out. So far, Shamli captain Vineet Jaiswal has been made the new SP of Hathras. The Chief Minister has also ordered polygraph and narco tests of the victim’s family, the accused party and concerned police personnel in this case.


Those suspended include district captain Vikrant Veer, jurisdictional Rambardha, inspector Dinesh Kumar Verma, senior sub-inspector Jagveer Singh and head Moharrir Mahesh Pal. Although action was being expected to be taken against the District Magistrate of Hathras and some other administrative officials in this case, but the State Government has not taken any decision in this regard. Since the aggrieved parties, the accused and the policemen have conflicting statements in this case and the SIT has also raised this issue in its investigation report, orders have been given to conduct polygraph and narco tests of all these to reach the truth. This is the first time it has been decided to conduct such tests to get to the bottom of the case. This will determine who is telling the truth. The trial will be conducted under the supervision of higher officials.
