(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): The long-awaited Friends reunion was all scheduled to take place on May 27 on HBO Max, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was disrupted. The reunion, however, was delayed but David Schwimmer alias Ross confirmed in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight that the reunion could take place in August.

Schwimmer announced that filming the special in front of a live audience is of prime significance for the Friends team. The actor shared that in mid-August they hoped to shoot the reunion. He added that the live audience element makes the whole thing tricky, but by doing this they would obviously not risk anybody’s health.

Since the series went off-air in 2004 the Friends reunion has been expected. The show’s re-runs are still popular to this day. In reality, it is important to remember that the show’s entire main cast has never been on any stage together since the series went off air, which makes the reunion much more exciting for the viewers.
