(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): A meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Urban Development was held here on Thursday, in which the case of death of a person was raised on July 19 at waterlogging Minto Bridge.
Three officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) quoted the sources present in the meeting as saying that the Minto Bridge area comes under the jurisdiction of the Delhi Public Works Department (PWD).
One of the committee members present at the meeting questioned the Delhi government for their preparedness in a three-month lockdown for the waterlogging issue during the monsoon.
Officials of the Union Urban Development Ministry, New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), MCD and Delhi Jal Board were also present in the meeting.
