(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Patna: The second phase of Bihar Assembly polls began today. Voting will take place today for 94 assembly constituencies in 17 districts. A young woman who came to use her right to vote for the first time in this order attracted the attention of many.
The girl reached the Patna polling station on a bicycle with her grandmother to cast her vote. On this occasion, she said ‘I used it for the first time after getting the right to vote. I came to vote with our grandmother. I hope it will provide employment opportunities to the youth in the future.
Bihar’s second phase assembly polling will continue from 7 am to 6 pm. Polling is underway today (Tuesday) for 94 assembly seats spread across 17 districts. 1,463 candidates are vying for 94 seats.
For security reasons, polling in Maoist-affected areas will end at 4 pm. 2.85 crore voters will use their right to vote in today’s polling. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has said that the elderly and those with Kovid characteristics can vote by postal ballot. All precautionary measures are followed in the corona background. Polling is being conducted as per the guidelines issued by the Central Election Commission.
