Demand for SUV cars is increasing continuously as compared to hatchback car, sedan car, premium hatchback car. According to the reports, by the year 2020, the sales of utility vehicles could be higher than hatchback cars and it could become the highest-selling segment in the country. Recently, Mahindra unveiled its new SUV 2020 Mahindra Thar and will launch it on 2 October. Force Motors is bringing its SUV Gurkha in a new avatar to compete with Mahindra’s new Thar. The company introduced the new Gurkha BS6 at the Auto Expo 2020. The company planned to bring this SUV by the third quarter of the current calendar year, but the epidemic had to defer the original launch plans of the SUV.
Recently, the dealership of Force Motors shared a picture of the production version of the 2020 Gurkha BS6 on its Facebook page and wrote in the caption – ‘Coming soon.’ This indicates that the company has started dispatching the new Gurkha to its official dealers across the country. In such a situation, it is expected that the company can launch this new SUV soon. Also given that Mahindra has already introduced the Thar 2020 which is set to launch it in this festive season, Force Motors cannot take it any longer to launch rival Gurkha BS6.
Features
The company has given it double hydraulic spring coil coils suspension and 17-inch tubeless tires. It looks like they are the tires of a big truck. Off-road cladding is found around the car. The car will get features such as a new touchscreen infotainment system, two airbags, ABS, rear parking sensor, an LED headlamp with power window DRL.
