The Army Research and Referral Hospital has said that Pranab Mukherjee’s health worsened due to a lung infection. He is hospitalized since August 10 and is on ventilator support after brain surgery. According to the hospital authorities, there has been a steady decline in Pranab Mukherjee’s medical condition. A statement issued by the hospital said the former president is on ventilator support and is currently being supervised by a team of experts. A day earlier, Abhijeet Mukherjee, son of the former president, said that his father’s condition was stable. He had said in his tweet that due to the wishes of all of you and sincere efforts of the doctors, my father’s condition is now stable. His health is under control and he is being looked after. Positive signs have been seen in his improvement. I request all of you to pray for his speedy recovery.
Pranab Mukherjee (84) was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi on August 10 and underwent brain surgery. Earlier, he was also confirmed infected by the Covid-19 probe. Meanwhile, locals of Birbhum district in West Bengal performed a Maha Mrityunjaya Yajna at the Japeshwar Shiva temple in Mirti, the ancestral place of Pranab Mukherjee last week and wished him a long life.
