(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); After the delay at the beginning of the session due to coronavirus, the deadline for compulsory closure of Formula One has been extended by two weeks. The World Motorsports Steering Association FIA confirmed this. The FIA had earlier kept it closed for 21 days but now it has been extended to 35 days. During this time, no employees involved in activities related to cars will work.

The FIA said in a statement that this decision has been unanimously approved by all stakeholders of Formula One. “Given the current global impact of COVID-19), discussions on this subject will continue between the FIA, Formula One (F1), and all teams,” the statement said. Significantly, tournaments such as the Tokyo Olympics (Wimbledon) and French Open have also been stopped due to the threat of Coronavirus.
