(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) A month ago, Indian gamer rejoiced after they got to know their favorite mobile game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds aka PUBG has escaped from the list of Chinese app ban by the Government of India.

The popular multiplayer game, a staple of Indian households, was not found in the ban list of 59 Chinese apps which collectively engaged in activities of prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of the nation, the security of the state and public order.

On Monday things took a wild turn after a report published online which signifies more Chinese owned apps could be under the scanner in India during a period when the geopolitical tensions between India and China are high. 725 apps are being scanned for violation of user privacy and national security threats.

It is believed that the most popular PUBG Mobile is also on the list of apps under the scanner. Notably, Monday also saw the axing of the 47 apps that have cloned the apps which were previously banned.

The gamer has been searching to know whether their worst nightmare is soon to be turned into reality, something that was seen in the search engine spike.
