(Juhi Aishwary, Journalist): Vikas Dubey Encounter, the main accused of killing 8 policemen on 2 July in Kanpur, has been killed within 24 hours of his arrest. While trying to escape from Ujjain to Kanpur, the most wanted Vikas Dubey was caught in an encounter in STF. Four police personnel have also been injured during this period.
According to the information, the vehicle from which the police were bringing Vikas Dubey to Kanpur crashed on the way. During this, Vikas tried to escape by taking advantage of the opportunity. He also snatched the pistol from the injured policeman. On the spot, Vikas Dubey’s encounter with STF started and he died after being shot.
What has happened since the arrest?
– After the Kanpur scandal, Vikas Dubey, who came into the limelight all over the country, was looking for the police from several states for 6 days. He was arrested by the Madhya Pradesh Police on Thursday morning from the Mahakal temple in Ujjain.
Madhya Pradesh Police along with Dubey arrested two lawyers and liquor company managers as well as four others.
– Vikas Dubey had arrived for the Mahakal temple darshan at around 7.45 am on Thursday morning and inquired about the shopkeeper’s arrangements for entering the temple.
– He also got a receipt of Rs 250 for temple visit. The guard of the temple was apprehended and brought to the police post during the entry.
– When he was caught by the police, he was shouting loudly that I am Vikas Dubey .. Kanpur.
– Uttar Pradesh STF officials reached Ujjain on Thursday evening. On this, Vikas Dubey was handed over to the Kanpur police.
– Around 9:30 pm on Thursday night, the Uttar Pradesh police convoy took him by road. Security forces were also sent from Ujjain.
5 people encounter before development
So far, the police and the STF have killed five colleagues of Vikas Dubey in an encounter. Vikas Dubey’s henchmen and Priyam Prabhat Mishra of 50-50 thousand and Ua Baurav Pravin Dubey were killed on Thursday. Earlier, STF had killed Vikas’s nephew Amar Dubey Moudha in an encounter. On July 3, police killed Vikas Dubey’s maternal uncle Prem Prakash Pandey and cousin Atul Dubey.
Attack on the police team
The police team reached Vikas Dubey on Friday night in the village Bikru of Chaubepur police station area, about 38 km from Kanpur district headquarters. During this time, the infamous Vikas and his comrades were attacked, in which eight policemen including CO, SO were martyred. It was the first time in the state that such a large number of policemen had made sacrifices.
