(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Vibhutkhand police station of Lucknow has revealed a large sextortion gang operating in the capital. Sextortion means making a photo and video of sex by trapping someone and then blackmailing them through the business of recovery.
According to the information so far, this gang consists of 5 people including two women who used to target high-profile doctors, rich businessmen. The Police say that the gang acted very viciously.
Earlier, it used to target the people. They were followed by girls from outside Lucknow who used to make friends with them through social media. Then they would call the girl to meet him at his base or in a hotel where the gang people used to set the camera to record the sex film of both of them.
After this, that photo and video became a means of getting money from rich people.
The police reached this gang from a case filed by a big dental doctor. The doctor had lodged a case of robbing 30 lakh rupees by taking hostage, but when the investigation took place, the whole case turned out to be something else. It was learned that the girl was trapped by a honeytrap the doctor, called at the base and made an intimate film of sexual intercourse. And recovery was done through blackmail. The police have arrested two people of this gang while the search is on for the rest. The sextortion gang has been active in the capital for a long time. The police have refused to say anything in this matter. At 4 pm on Thursday, Vibhuti Khand police will give full information on this matter by holding a press conference.
