(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Gold Price Today 16th September 2020: Gold and silver prices are going down today. Today, both gold and silver opened in bullion markets across the country. On Wednesday, the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 151 per 10 grams to Rs 51742 against Tuesday. At the same time, 23 carat gold opened at Rs 51535, 22 carat gold at Rs 47396 and 18 carat gold at Rs 38807 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver is being recorded today at Rs 571 per kg.
The rate issued by the BJA is universally accepted across the country. However, GST has not been included in the rate given on this website. When buying and selling gold, you can refer to the rate of IBJA. According to Rajesh Khosla, media in-charge of India Bullion and Jewelers Association Delhi, ibja shows the average price of gold and silver from 14 centers across the country. Khosla says that the current rate of gold-silver or, say, the spot price may be different at different places but there is a slight difference in their prices.
