(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Google Pixel 4a has officially launched. The new Pixel phone is an upgrade to Pixel 3a and brings many changes compared to the previous phone. The biggest change is seen in the display, where this time the company has used the hole-punch. The Pixel 4A is in a way the light variant of the Pixel 4 launched last year. Thus, it brings a similar camera experience. The smartphone has a single camera on both the front and back. Other special features of Pixel 4a are the presence of Titan M security module and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Google Pixel 4A’s 6 GB RAM + 128 GB model has been launched in the US for $ 349 (about Rs 26,300). The phone is initially available for pre-order in the US through Google Store and Google Fi. It will be available from August 20 on Google Store, BestBuy.com, Amazon, and some other stores. Google Pixel 4A will be sold in India through Flipkart from October. Currently, its price has not been disclosed in India. The phone has been launched only in Jet Black color.

Google Pixel 4A runs on Android 10 and it comes with the same features as Google Pixel 4. The phone comes with a new Google Assistant, which gives you the option to send text messages and control apps well. You also get real-time transcription support in English and the special thing is that it also includes Google’s special recorder app. In addition, Pixel 4a comes with live caption support. The Google Pixel 4a offers a 5.81-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,340 pixels) OLED display with 19.5: 9 aspect ratios and a pixel density of 443 PPI. The always-on display also has HDR support. The rear camera supports HDR + support with dual exposure control, portrait mode, top shot, astrophotography capabilities with night site, and fused video stabilization. Google Pixel 4a includes 128 GB storage. Customers who want more storage may feel a little frustrated, as the phone does not support microSD cards. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has stereo speakers and two microphones with noise suppression support. The dimensions of the phone are 144×69.4×8.2 millimeters and weighing 143 grams.
