(Dharshini.G, Intern journalist) Google and its parent organization, Alphabet, will keep its representatives working from home until at any rate June 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic, the organization said in an announcement Monday to CBS MoneyWatch.
The Mountain View, California-based tech mammoth had recently moved toward taking employees back to its workplaces starting in January and is presently the main major U.S. company to immovably expand its work-from-home timetable so far into what’s to come.
“To enable representatives to prepare, we are expanding our worldwide intentional work from home alternative through June 30, 2021, for jobs that don’t need to be in the workplace,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in an email to representatives.
The new arrangement influences practically the entirety of the approximately 200,000 full-time and contract workers for Google and Alphabet’s divisions.
