(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): “Har Ghar nal ka jal” determination scheme of Bihar will get international recognition. The plan will be presented at the G-20 conference. It will be presented at the conference on behalf of the Government of India. A detailed report on this scheme has been sent by Bihar to the Government of India. It is worth noting that the conference of all the countries involved in the G-20 is being held on 21 and 22 November in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Jitendra Shrivastava, Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), gave this information to the press conference on Tuesday. It should be noted that the water determination scheme of every house tap has been appreciated by the central government earlier also. Now, this scheme has also been implemented at the country level. Under this scheme, piped water is to be supplied to every house in the city and village by laying pipelines.
PHED is to supply tap water to 56080 wards of rural areas of the state. Out of these, work in more than 60 percent of the wards has been completed. The secretary said that by October 2020 this work will be completed in all wards. The Secretary said that the process of installing devices in all motors for real-time monitoring of the tap-water scheme is going on. So that in which ward, for how long drinking water was supplied, online reports would be received daily. This scheme is being implemented by the Panchayati Raj Department in more than 58 thousand wards of rural areas. Similarly, in urban areas, this work is being done by the city and housing department.
