(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Harbajan Singh is not going to play in the upcoming IPL, he was the off-spinner of the Team Chennai Super King. He has sited that due to some of his personal reasons the player will not be able to join the Indian Premier League, 2020.
After Suresh Raina, he is the second CSK (Chennai super King) player to not play if the off-spinner decides against traveling to the UAE which is preparing to host the tournament in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Harbajan Singh had also been delayed in traveling to the UAE due to his personal issues. Even his teammate Dhoni arrived in Dubai on 21st August. Even the player has not attended the training camp held at Chennai between August 15 and 20. While the other player has attended the training.
Meanwhile, the other two-player of Chennai Super King Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad has tested positive for the Covid-19. For which the CSK team had to postpone the start of its training while the other team is already playing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The IPL is still to announce on the schedule along with a fortnight on the opener on 19th September which is expected to be played between the Chennai super king and Mumbai Indians.
