(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): New cases of corona virus infection have been coming down in India for the past several days. After about 3 months, for the first time, the number of active cases has come down by 6 lakhs. So has the Peak of Corona passed in India? Will now be a period of decline in cases? On this question, Delhi AIIMS director Randeep Guleria has said that it can be said if the cases are less even after Diwali. But like Delhi, if the cases start increasing in other places, then another peak can come in the country. He said this in a conversation with a private news channel.

On whether India has seen the peak of Corona, Guleria said that if people take precautions during the festive season and even after Diwali, if the cases are less then we will be able to say that Corona’s peak has passed in India. But if the cases start increasing in the same way as in Delhi, then another peak may come in the country. Therefore, more vigilance is needed.
Is the third wave of coronavirus going on in Delhi? For the last few days, discussions are going on after new cases in record numbers.

But Delhi AIIMS director Randeep Guleria categorically denies the third wave. Speaking to a private news channel, Guleria said that the second wave of Corona in Delhi has intensified. He also blamed the negligence and pollution of the people for this.
Guleria said that the virus stays in the air much longer during winter, due to which the scope of infection increases. The AIIMS director said that infection can also increase due to pollution, hence more caution is needed. Both infection and pollution cause lung damage.

They said that in winter we more care needs to be taken otherwise the cases of infection can increase a lot and there will be a lot of emphasis on health infrastructure.
Guleria warns that the corona is not over yet, so don’t be careless. He gave the example of Europe that the infection has started growing there once again. Asked about the double threat of corona and pollution, Guleria said that precautionary measures need to be strictly followed. He said that the elders should not leave unless it is very necessary. Follow social distancing. Guleria said that the elderly or those already suffering from a serious illness should avoid going out. Due to poor air quality, health will be damaged. Go outside when it is sunny and whenever you go outside, do apply a mask.
