In many districts of the state including Patna, the rain started from Saturday night also continued on Monday morning. He was taking cattle during the rains and going to the farm. In Digha village of Saran, a young man died of lightning. Earlier on Sunday, 16 people died due to thunderclap in Gaya, Patna, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Nawada and Begusarai, Siwan, East Champaran. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed condolences to those who died in the thunderclap and has announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs four lakh each to the next of kin.
