(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist),Eluru: One by one, the corruption scandals of CI Nageshwaranayak, who was in charge of the police and had to do justice to the victims, were exposed. His victims complained about the district police, alleging that the CI leader had wronged them. Meanwhile, a team of officers led by SEB Additional SP Karimullah Sharif conducted an inspection at Jangareddygudem police station on Thursday.
Jangareddygudem CI Nageshwar Naik and Essai Gangadhar were placed in the VR under compulsion by the superiors with the articles written by the ‘witness’ on the investigation as per the orders of the SEB superiors in the wake of allegations of large-scale bribery and co-operation within the Jangareddygudem police station. Eluru Range DIG has issued orders to this effect. However, in the context of the investigation, the CI corruption cases are coming to light.
Investigators found that the car of the man accused of sand smuggling was still being used by the CI.

Here are some other allegations against CI. Complaints were lodged against the CI for constructing a shed at the Jangareddygudem Circle office without the permission of his superiors and for illegally placing ACs in the CI office.
Krishna, a fishmonger from Eluru, said that the then Dendulur MLA had transferred Rs 40 lakh from his bank account to the accounts of Chintamani Prabhakar’s followers, who had threatened to detain him illegally while Bhimadolu was working as CIA and threatened to put him in a case involving fishmongers. The man complained to the SP on Thursday.
The CIA leader, who is also the CIA in-charge of Chintalapudi, arrested the accused in a liquor store theft case in the Chintalapudi area and arrested them.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the alleged theft of liquor in Dwarakathirumala, which has also come to light recently. A case has been registered at the Chintalapudi police station in the district.
Criminal action on alcohol bottle theft: SEB ASP Karimullah Sharif
SEB Additional SP Karimullah Sharif said that in the Jangareddygudem police station, several bottles of liquor seized were found to have been misused and criminal action would be taken against the SHO concerned. He was speaking at a press conference held at the local police station on Thursday. Bottles were allegedly tampered with in four NDP alcohol cases.
A total of 24 bottles were revealed to have been overturned. He also said that 51 quarter bottles of unauthorized liquor bottles unrelated to the cases were found at the police station. Jangareddygudem police station conducted inspections and found that liquor bottles had been tampered with and that irregularities had taken place. The sheriff ordered the current SHO to take criminal action against the SHO that was present at the time these alcohol cases were registered.
Karimullah Sharif also said that he had reported to his superiors that departmental action should be taken against the then SHO.
