According to the Islamic calendar, Bakrid or Eid-ul-Juha is celebrated on the 10th of the 12th month. Bakrid is celebrated about 70 days after the end of Ramadan month. After the sweet Eid, this is the main festival of the religion of Islam.

According to Islamic beliefs, Hazrat Ibrahim sacrificed his son Hazrat Ismail on the orders of God on this day in the path of God. It is believed that God gave life to his son after seeing his passion.
Hazrat Ibrahim had a son at the age of 90, whom he named Ismail. One day Allah commanded Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice his favorite things.
After this, in the dream of Hazrat Ibrahim again one day, Allah asked him to sacrifice his favorite thing, then Ibrahim agreed to sacrifice his son.

Hazrat Ibrahim felt that while giving the sacrifice, his feelings towards his son might come in his way. So he tied a blindfold on his eyes and sacrificed it. When he removed his blindfold, he saw his son alive. There was chopped Dumba (sheep-like animal found in Saudi). For this reason, the practice of sacrificing Bakrid started.
