Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday and made him aware of the suggestions of the Chief Ministers on whether to proceed with the lockdown or not. It is known that the fourth phase of the lockdown in the country is coming to an end on 31 May. During the talks, Shah also inquired from the Chief Ministers about the areas that the states want to open from June 1.

Earlier in the last days of every phase of the lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself knew his opinion from the Chief Ministers through video conferencing. However, the Union Home Minister was also present during the talks.
