(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced on Friday that the company has sold 1 million units of BS6 vehicles. At the same time, the company has claimed that it is the first two-wheeler manufacture to achieve this record. HMSI said that the company has cumulative sales of 11 lakh units of two-wheeler with a BS6 engine.

BS6 engine has been made mandatory in all new vehicles in the country in April and the same few companies have started bringing BS6 vehicles from the last few months. HMSI started selling BS6 two-wheeler from 2019 after the launch of Activa 125. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Sales and Marketing Director, HMSI, said, “Our product portfolio is very diverse in the market. In the market, we offer motorcycles ranging from 110 cc scooter to premium adventure bike ranging from 1100 cc.” Honda Motorcycle and Scooters currently offer 11 Bs6 vehicles. That includes Honda Activa 125, Hinda Grazia 125, Honda CD 110, Honda Livo, Honda X-Blade, and also currently launched 2020 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports. This full range includes 4 automatic scooters, 6 motorcycles, and 1100 cc adventure bike.
