(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur has decided to start three new master’s programs in cybersecurity. The objective of introducing these three new programs is to address the shortage of trained and skilled cybersecurity personnel in the country. These new programs on cybersecurity will begin with the new session. The institute’s official statement said that these programs are designed to meet the need of cybersecurity personnel by ensuring highly skilled training.
In such a situation, for those students who want to pursue a career in cybersecurity, these courses will prove to be very beneficial.
Students who wish to pursue a career in the field of cybersecurity after class XII will be able to take admission in these courses from session 2021-22. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering will start these three courses from August 2021 which are BT-MT dual degree in M Tech, MS Research, Cyberspace. IIT-Kanpur director Abhay Karandik says that these programs will start in limited numbers with plans to gradually be limited in size and scope. Admission to courses will begin during the April – May 2021 cycle.
