Impact plans to create a new program to identify, promote, and help Indians who are contesting for higher positions. This announcement was welcomed by Senator Kamla Harris of Indian origin. California senator Harris said, “I am delighted to see the Indian-American community’s growing role in the election process.
My happiness is not just as an Indian but also as a person who believes that the more American of the castes and backgrounds of the country, the stronger and democracy will be.” Impact said in a statement that the number of Indian Americans in the US Congress has increased by 5 times in the last 8 years. This organization is a major political organization, which aims to increase the number of indigenous people in government offices, impact pieces of training, raise funds, and selected talented people. It also announced the appointment of lawyer Neil Makhija as the new executive director of the organization.
