(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Teams of the Income Tax Department raided the showroom of Harshay Mal Jewelers in several cities including Lucknow on Monday morning. Income tax raids are also going on at Jewelers’ establishments in Bareilly, Moradabad, and Badaun. There is a discussion that action has been taken in the case of big tax evasion. The Income Tax Department did not even inform the local police about the raid. On getting information, Inspector Civil Lines also reached the spot and tested the reality of the raid.
Income tax department officials in Lucknow, Moradabad, Bareilly, and Badaun initiated action on the establishment of Harshay Mal Jewelers.
Income tax has been raided largely in the Andes of Hera Pheri. Action has been initiated with the Police Force on the establishment at Kanth Road in Moradabad. The Income Tax Officer of Moradabad is also involved in the proceedings.
Regarding the raid, an Income Tax Department officer is currently refraining from speaking anything. Said that action is going on, any information will be given only after completion.
The Income Tax Department officials kept the local police separate from the raid. They were also not given any information. When the Civil Lines SHO came to know about the raid, he too was shocked and reached the showroom of Harshay Mal Jewelers along with the police force. He also informed the senior police officers about the realities from the Income Tax officials involved in the team. The police team was apprehensive that if the team of fake income tax officials raided. Policemen were skeptical after seeing the private vehicle of the Income Tax Department team.
