Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) India is rapidly moving towards 4 million-mark in the number of coronavirus disease infection, becoming only the third country in the world after the US and Brazil to cross this mark.
India, which has recorded over 3.8 million cases till Thursday evening, on Wednesday India saw a record of 81,934 new cases in one day more than recorded in the nine months since the outbreak first began in China late last year.
The spread of the virus in rural areas after the lockdown measures were eased and business restarted and scaling up of Covid-19 testing across all the states are among the reasons attributed to India’s spike in cases
Daily positive numbers are increasing there is no doubt about it. But at the same time, these numbers have to be seen in the context of the total population of India.
