(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Union Minister Prakash Javadekar expressed happiness after Covishield was approved for emergency use. He said that India is probably the only country where four corona vaccines are ready. These four vaccines include Covishield, Covaxin, Pfizer, and Zydus Cadilla.
At the same time, before this, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan also made a big announcement on Saturday. Talking to journalists, he said that the Corona vaccine will be provided free to every Indian not only in Delhi but in the whole country. No fee will be charged from anyone for this. However, he also said that at present only three crore people will be given the Corona vaccine in the first phase. These will include health workers and frontline workers.
The second phase of the corona virus vaccine rehearsal has started from across the country on Saturday. Centers for dry runs have been set up in different states of the country to rehearse the vaccine. Trained health workers are joining the exercise. The first phase of the exercise began on 28–29 December 2020. The first phase started in Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab.
