(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): India is reportedly set to lose the Farzad-B gas field located in Iran after the country decided to prefer domestic companies for the development of the field. State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Videsh had discovered the field in 2008. ONGC’s international arm and its partners also offered to invest up to $11 billion for development.
