The Empire State is illuminated in blue this evening, congratulating the UN on its 75th-year lump. But, the UN is getting gray which means it is completing its 75 years. Milestones around the world were lit in blue to mark the day. The United Nations tweeted and wrote: From New York to Dubai, from Petra to Vienna, the U.N. turns 75, with places around the world turning blue for Saturday’s day.
The United Nations came into existence on 24 October 1945, when the charter was ratified by a permanent five members and most other signatories.
United Nations Day is observed every year on 24 October.
