(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Indian-American MP Raja Krishnamurthy has said that he is ‘very concerned’ about the India-China border dispute. He said, “I have put forward a resolution asking China to stop military provocations against India and focus on a diplomatic solution.” Until this dispute is completely resolved, I will keep a close watch on it.
He said this during the meeting of the ‘House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence’. He is the first and only Indian-American member of this committee. The committee has met for the first time on this issue.
Earlier, the US President’s Deputy Assistant Lisa Curtis, from a bilateral point of view, China’s recent actions on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) have further strengthened the importance of the US-India strategic partnership.
He also said that it is our resolve to strengthen US-India relations against Chinese aggression in the Indo-Pacific region. Curtis said that in this era of crisis, America has provided strong and clear support to India. In the last few months, top US lawmakers have expressed their concern over Chinese incursions into India.
