(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Washington: Federal prosecutors in the US said on Friday that an Indian citizen has been arrested for conspiring to commit Visa fraud and fraudulently using H1B visas to induce foreign nationals to visit the US. Prosecutors said Indian citizen Ashish Sahni was arrested on Thursday.

Sahni allegedly used four corporations to submit fake application forms for the purpose of obtaining H1B specialization-business work visas. He said that 6 charges have been made against Sahni. Prosecutors allege that Sahni allegedly collected nearly $20 million between 2011 and 2016. If Sahni is convicted in these cases, he can be sentenced to a maximum of 10 years of imprisonment.
